Why You'll Love This Role As a Customer Service Registration Clerk I with Hanover Park Park District, you'll be one of the first people our residents meet when they visit, call, or contact the District. You'll help customers register for programs, answer questions, solve problems, and connect them with the parks, facilities, programs, and services that make our community thrive. Process program registrations, memberships, facility reservations, passes, and related transactions. Answer phones, respond to questions, and direct customers to appropriate staff when needed. Accurately process cash, checks, and credit card payments. Stay informed about Park District programs, events, facilities, policies, and services. Identify customer needs, resolve issues professionally, and properly escalate concerns when necessary. Maintain accurate records and utilize registration software and other office systems. Assist with general office support, administrative tasks, and special projects as assigned. Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional customer service environment. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, recreation, or office experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain professional, courteous, and solution-oriented in challenging situations. Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of all District programs, facilities, services, and events. Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff throughout the organization. Comfortable using computers, software systems, phones, and other office equipment. Ability to accurately handle money and process transactions. Dependable, punctual, adaptable, and customer-focused. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
