Full Job Description Overview:
VoMac Truck Sales & Service, one of the top-rated Volvo and Mack dealerships in the country, is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team at our Evansville, IN location. We are looking for someone who can help uphold our 5-Star reputation by providing accurate, efficient service and excellent communication between our customers and service department. This position requires a motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. Experienced service technicians looking to transition into a management role are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.Responsibilities:
Serve as the liaison between customers and the service department Answer service department phone calls promptly and professionally Communicate with customers regarding repair approvals and additional work needed Ensure all recalls and authorized field changes are communicated, scheduled, and completed Notify customers of any delays in service completion Inform customers when their vehicle is ready for pickup via ASIST, email, text, phone, or other requested communication methods Work closely with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary repair authorizations and documentation Complete invoicing and payment collection in a timely manner Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications:
Excellent customer service skills Previous diesel mechanic or heavy-duty truck experience Experience with ADP/CDK systems Strong verbal communication skills both in person and over the phone Ability to read and understand service instructions and technical information Strong computer skillsWorking Conditions:
