The Herald Bulletin is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Classified Inside Sales & Legal Clerk/Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, making sales, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines. Experience with classified advertising, legal notices, public notices, or customer service is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with placing classified advertisements by phone, email, and in person Proactively sell classified advertising and identify opportunities to grow revenue Build positive relationships with customers and provide knowledgeable, friendly service Accurately enter classified advertisements, legal notices, and public records into our systems Proofread ads and legal notices to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with publishing requirements Communicate with clients and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner Process payments and maintain accurate customer and billing information Follow up with customers regarding advertising needs, renewals, and additional opportunities Manage multiple tasks and prioritize daily responsibilities while meeting deadlines Collaborate with sales, production, editorial, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely publication Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the position

What We're Looking For:

Strong customer service and inside sales skills with a friendly, professional phone presence Ability to confidently communicate with customers and identify sales opportunities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with computers, data entry, and learning new software systems High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently under pressure Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Previous experience in classified advertising, inside sales, legal notices, public notices, or customer service is a plus Why Join Us?
