Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations or demos when appropriate. Manage merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to keep the sales area attractive and organized. Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and guiding them through store promotions or loyalty programs. Maintain a clean and safe checkout area by following proper phone etiquette, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring efficient transaction flow. Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment activities and monitoring product availability on the sales floor. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and ensure a smooth shopping experience for all customers. Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions. Previous supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities or team support roles. Ability to perform retail math for balancing registers, calculating discounts, and managing sales totals confidently. Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is highly desirable. Bilingual skills are an advantage for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Strong phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone or in person. Knowledge of upselling techniques and product demos to enhance sales performance. Basic merchandising, stocking, and inventory management skills to maintain an appealing store layout.
