The best career is right here. St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Office Assistant for our Cancer Care Call Center.Shift/Hours:
Full-Time - 40hours/week, 1st Shift 8:30A-5P /Hybrid Job Description:
This position may be responsible for a variety of duties based on the operations of department, including: 1) patient registration, 2) patient scheduling, 3) patient billing, 4) assist with pre-certification if applicable (collect insurance information; receipt of co-pays or bill payments), 5) medical records retrieval, release, or collection, 6) data entry and 7) answering phones. Responsible for routine problem resolution, assistance with patient flow coordination, and initiation of follow-up with appropriate staff as needed. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to patient privacy and confidentiality, i.e., HIPAA laws. Provide customer-focused service and support to patient flow in a unit based.Qualifications Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High school graduate orGED Specialized Knowledge:
Medical terminology Computer fluency/literacy Communication skills (verbal and written) Maintain patient confidentiality Organization and prioritization skillsKind and Length of Experience:
1 year of experience in an office front desk type role, healthcare registration, scheduling or other patient-facing healthcare positions.FLSA Status:
