Job Description
Position Summary The Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the vehicle repair and maintenance process from check-in to completion. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the dealership's service department, ensuring accurate communication, recommending necessary repairs, and delivering a positive ownership experience. This position requires strong knowledge of dealership service operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to efficiently utilize Dealertrack DMS and Xtime Experience to manage appointments, repair orders, customer communication, and workflow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival and determine their vehicle service needs. Conduct thorough vehicle walkarounds, document customer concerns, and identify additional service opportunities. Create accurate repair orders using Dealertrack DMS , including customer information, vehicle history, mileage, maintenance concerns, and requested services. Utilize Xtime to manage customer appointments, check-in processes, service recommendations, digital inspections, and customer approvals. Clearly explain recommended maintenance and repairs, including benefits, costs, and time requirements. Review digital vehicle inspections with customers and communicate technician findings in an easy-to-understand manner. Generate estimates and obtain customer authorization before work begins. Monitor repair order progress and maintain communication with customers regarding updates, delays, additional repairs, and completion times. Coordinate effectively with technicians, parts personnel, warranty administrators, and management to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure manufacturer maintenance schedules and CDJR service recommendations are properly communicated. Assist customers with warranty, recall, Mopar service contracts, and extended service coverage questions. Deliver completed vehicles by reviewing repairs performed, explaining invoices, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records and follow dealership procedures for repair orders, documentation, and customer follow-up. Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward timely resolutions. Achieve department goals related to customer satisfaction, sales performance, retention, and profitability. Qualifications 2 years previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership environment is requires Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance terminology. Experience with Dealertrack DMS and Xtime preferred. Excellent customer service, communication, and sales skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced service environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to build trust and maintain long-term customer relationships. Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership software systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDJR/Mopar experience strongly preferred. Key Performance Expectations Provide a professional and welcoming customer experience. Maintain accurate and complete repair orders. Meet or exceed CSI/customer satisfaction objectives. Increase customer retention through follow-up and relationship building. Identify and communicate legitimate service opportunities. Maintain strong teamwork with technicians and dealership staff. Follow all dealership policies, safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the dealership and service drive. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction. Ability to inspect vehicles and navigate the service department safely. Occasional lifting of light automotive items and paperwork. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary plus performance-based incentives. Top performers can earn over 80K to 100K.
