Responsibilities Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Assist customers with product demos and provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their purchase decisions. Manage stock levels on the sales floor, restocking shelves and merchandising products to maintain an appealing store layout. Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities. Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling daily sales. Maintain professional phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries. Support team members through supervising experience when needed, helping to train new staff or oversee daily operations. Ensure compliance with POS (Point of Sale) systems procedures for smooth transaction processing. Demonstrate strong retail store product knowledge to assist customers effectively. Skills Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations for seamless transactions. Previous retail sales experience, especially in grocery or convenience store environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and clearly. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Experience in supervising or leading team members is preferred but not required. Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone. Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction balancing. Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately under pressure. Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product demos to boost sales. Experience with stocking shelves, inventory management, and store organization.
