Job Description
Customer Service Representative About Ready Power We're not an electrical contractor who dabbles in generators — backup power is all we do. Since 2009, we've been the Gulf South's go-to generator specialists with 850+ five-star reviews to prove it. Ready Power treats employees like people whose families and interests matter. In two years, our owner hasn't turned down a single request for time off. We develop people here, not just fill seats. Our installation execution is superb, our service response is lightning-fast, and when hurricane season hits, we're the company Louisiana calls. About This Position You'll be the voice customers hear when they need backup power solutions most. Working Monday through Friday in our New Orleans office, you'll field incoming calls from customers, make outbound calls to pre-qualified leads to determine if we should send a sales representative, and handle service issues with empathy and problem-solving skills. You're not selling — you're qualifying leads that Costco, Lowe's, Home Depot, and Generac send us, plus ensuring our existing customers feel heard and valued. This role requires someone who genuinely cares about helping people and has that "loves to please" gene without giving away the farm to get there. What We're Looking For 1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably with phone-based support Exceptional phone presence and communication skills Strong organizational abilities and attention to follow-up Empathy and patience when handling upset customers Reliability — we need someone who shows up consistently Tech-savvy enough to navigate Service Titan and other systems Someone who thrives in an office environment and takes pride in excellent service What's In It For You $17-$21 per hour based on experience Full benefits package (health insurance, paid time off) Two weeks of paid training to set you up for success Monday-Friday schedule — no nights, no weekends Work for a company that actually respects work-life balance Small team environment (16+ people) where good work gets noticed Stable industry — when storms hit, demand for our services spikes Ready to Join Our Team?
