We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Liquor Store Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales, stocking products, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, trustworthy, and possess a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with product selections, offer recommendations, and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Product Management:
Stock and organize liquor shelves, ensuring products are clearly labeled and properly displayed. Handle inventory checks and assist with product orders.
Age Verification:
Verify the legal drinking age of customers by checking identification as required by law.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized store environment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and displays. Ensure the store is always presentable.
Cash Handling:
Operate the cash register and process customer transactions. Accurately handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and provide correct change.
Stocking and Inventory:
Assist in unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and ensuring proper rotation of products to reduce shrinkage.
Compliance:
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. Ensure all sales are made in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Tipping:
Provide excellent customer service that encourages tipping. Be knowledgeable about the tip-sharing process and expectations.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age (as required by law to handle alcoholic beverages). Tips training required Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to [30LBS]. Excellent customer service skills and communication. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Previous retail or cashier experience preferred, but not required.
