Job Description
This is a seasonal position at a fun family run campground. From May to October enjoy greeting guests as they visit for their camping vacations. This role is responsible for checking guests in and out, taking reservations in-person and over the phone, provided retail services for our Campground Store and overall customer service tasks. Hours now till Labor Day weekend: Wednesday & Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday & Saturday 12pm-8pm After Labor Day till October 3: Wednesday & Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday & Saturday 12pm-7pm Essential Job Functions Open/Close Campground Store Register campers into computer database Collect appropriate fees Operate sales; i.e., wood, ice, resale Maintain a list of daily check-in and process checkouts Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors Greet customers immediately with a smile and responding to requests/needs quickly in a friendly, courteous and effective manner Handling cash and credit card transactions for the store and reservations Taking personal responsibility to resolve customer complaints/problems and refer them to management when you are unable to resolve them immediately Develop and maintain working knowledge of the campground operations, site locations, hours of operations, costs and activities schedule, as well as local area attractions to provide guests with information Working knowledge of area map to guide customers to the campground location when necessary Cleanliness and stocking of the store Identify safety issues and resolve them or report them to management or appropriate person Will assist with café operations when needed / as assigned Job duties subject to change at any time with or without notice Minimum Qualifications Six months customer service experience Six months experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases Experience working with money and making change Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving) Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills Flexible with hours and days worked Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions Detail-oriented Able to physically complete the demands of the job which include long periods of standing, lifting, bending and carrying Able to work confidently without direct supervision, self-motivated Committed to providing excellent customer service
