Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and provide exceptional service from vehicle intake to release. Translate customer-reported issues into actionable work orders for technicians. Develop accurate repair estimates and maintain positive customer relationships. Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.Repair Orders & Workflow Management:
Ensure automotive services meet company quality standards. Maintain and update customer records in our database. Invoice customers for services rendered and ensure all billing details are accurate.Vehicle Check-In:
Check in vehicles promptly upon arrival to ensure efficient workflow. Confirm all necessary customer and vehicle information during the check-in process. Assign vehicles to technicians, ensuring smooth transitions in the service process.Cashing Out Customers:
Review completed repair orders with customers, explaining the work performed and associated charges. Process customer payments accurately, including cash, credit card, and other forms of payment. Ensure proper documentation and receipts are provided to customers. Resolve billing discrepancies or payment-related concerns as needed.Training & Development:
Participate in company-sponsored training, certifications, or workshops, which may include company paid out-of-state travel.Qualifications:
Automotive Knowledge:
Working knowledge of automotive products, repairs, and parts. Ability to prepare accurate estimates, including pricing, parts availability, and labor. Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, repair processes, and maintenance.Customer Service & Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills to explain complex automotive processes to customers. Exceptional customer service experience to build trust and satisfaction. Ability to translate customer needs into technician work orders.Technical & Organizational Skills:
Proficiency with computer programs, including: Online point-of-sale systems. Digital vehicle inspection tools. Word processing and database management. Strong organizational skills to schedule appointments, manage records, and oversee work completion.Cashing Out Expertise:
Experience processing customer payments accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with different payment methods and billing systems. Ability to explain repair order charges clearly to customers.Vehicle Check-In Skills:
Ability to manage the check-in process efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times. Attention to detail in verifying customer and vehicle information. Experience coordinating workflow to maximize shop productivity.Education & Experience:
Secondary education in the automotive field or equivalent work experience. Commitment to continuing education on new vehicle technologies and repair processes.Other Skills:
