Job Description
KinderCare is seeking a Specialized Pre K Assistant Teacher for our Chelsea center. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom for preschool children. You'll assist with implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, provide individualized support, and help manage daily routines, meals, and play. You'll communicate with families, uphold health and safety standards, and contribute to KinderCare's culture of nurturing, collaboration, and continuous learning while growing your career in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate pre-K curriculum and activities Support individualized learning and care for children with varying needs and abilities Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment at all times Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play Communicate daily with families and staff about children's progress and needs Document attendance, incidents, and basic observations as required Follow all licensing, health, and safety policies and procedures Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development Support transitions, routines, and behavior guidance using positive strategies Collaborate with center staff to uphold Kinder Care's inclusive, child-centered culture Required Skills Early childhood classroom support Child supervision and safety Implementing pre-K curriculum Behavior guidance and classroom management Basic child development knowledge Parent and family communication Documentation and recordkeeping Collaboration with teaching teams Health, hygiene, and sanitation practices First Aid and CPR skills
