Store Manager Job Purpose Customer Engagement Specialists are an integral part of Fustini's Oils & Vinegars. They execute exceptional sales techniques, help maintain a robust store, and model the Fustini's Experience in every guest interaction. Customer Engagement Specialists consistently embody Fustini's values of being Welcoming, Inspiring, Acting with Integrity, Committing to the Brand, and Continuously Improving.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service & Expert Selling:
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Meet or exceed sales goals and targets laid out Quarterly.
Merchandising & Inventory Control:
Maintain visually appealing and organized sales floor. Restock shelves and displays using FIFO. Inspect products for quality and check dates. Assist in receiving deliveries.
Food Safety, Sanitation and Operations:
Maintain all requirements for safety compliance, equipment operation, cash handling, and general store maintenance
Sampling Preparedness:
Ensure proper health & hygiene, refill samples and Fusti's as necessary, and follow safe sampling protocol.
Qualifications:
Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends. Express interest in food trends, artisanal products and culinary techniques Education Preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Preferred Minimum 1 year Sales Experience Preferred Minimum 2 year
Customer Service Experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive Product Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of artisan products, ingredients, origins, and flavor profiles to provide expert recommendations.
Consultative Selling & Customer Service:
Ability to understand customer needs, offer samples, explain complex items, and build rapport, fostering high-quality customer experiences.
Active Listening & Communication:
Clearly articulating product information and listening to customer preferences to guide them to the right purchase.
Food Safety and Handling:
Knowledge of sanitation, food safety standards, and proper storage (e.g., proper cheese handling, shelf life management).
Inventory & Store Maintenance:
Managing stock, restocking shelves, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, appealing, and organized sales floor. Point-of-Sale (POS)
Operation:
Proficiency in handling transactions, processing payments, and using inventory software. Passion for
Food:
A genuine interest in culinary, gourmet, or artisanal foods that allows for authentic engagement with customers.
Multitasking & Time Management:
Juggling customer service with tasks like restocking, cleaning, or preparing samples during busy hours.
Problem-Solving:
Handling customer inquiries, complaints, or product returns gracefully to maintain satisfaction.
Adaptability:
Being flexible to learn new products, take on different shifts, and assist with various store tasks as needed.
Working Conditions Physical Requirements:
Unload pallets and transport products as often as needed, be able to stand for long periods. Able to lift 40 lbs frequently, and to navigate stairs multiple times daily.
Availability:
Able to work weekends, holidays and early evenings.
Environmental/Physical Exposure:
Regularly works with EPA-registered disinfectants, sanitizers and cleaning agents.
