OVERVIEW
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Customer Service Representative to join our urgent/emergency care team. This role is the first point of contact for pet owners seeking emergency veterinary care and plays a vital role in creating a positive, friendly, calming experience during difficult times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet clients and their pets with compassion and professionalism upon arrival Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and triage urgent cases appropriately Collect and accurately enter patient information into our veterinary management system Process payments, handle invoicing Communicate wait times and provide updates to clients in the waiting area Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth patient flow Maintain a clean, organized reception area Handle sensitive situations with empathy, including euthanasia support Educate clients on preventive care and follow-up instructions Manage multi-line phone system during high-volume periods
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Team Player! High school diploma or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Smiling, friendly demeanor Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress, emotionally charged situations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with computers and ability to learn veterinary software systems Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Previous customer service experience in veterinary settings Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology
Job Type:
Full-time, weekend work required (4 weekend shifts monthly required)
