Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently, accurately handling cash, credit, and mobile payments while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Assist customers with their purchases by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering product demos when appropriate. Upsell items and suggest additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and well-stocked to maximize visual appeal. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective selling. Collaborate with team members to supervise store operations during shifts and assist in training new staff when needed.

PCSOutdoors is seeking a friendly and reliable Part-Time Cashier and/or Customer Service Rep to join our team. The ideal candiate will be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and cheerful manner.
• Operate cash register and point-of-sale systems to accurately process cash, credit and debit transactions.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently, including making change and issuing receipts.
• Bag or wrap customer purchases.
• Answer customer questions and provide information about store products.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist with other tasks as needed, such as stocking shelves or helping customers with their needs.
• Handle and process any merchandise returns.

Requirements:

• Previous cash handling or customer service experience is a plus, but not always required.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED.
