- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and address patient inquiries.
- Schedule appointments efficiently to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Verify insurance benefits and co-pays accurately.
- Process payments for services and products over the phone.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists as needed.
- Update and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to support seamless office operations.
- Assist in additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email, and scheduling systems).
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Friendly demeanor and commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Prior experience in an optometry or healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
