Job Description

Contact Central Agents are the critical link between people experiencing property emergencies and our field response teams. In this role, you will handle incoming emergency requests from clients, fire and police departments, as well as third-party partners. You will quickly gather and record accurate details using web-based software to deploy BELFOR emergency personnel where they are needed most.

Work Schedule and Training Compensation:

Starting at $20 per hour with shift differential for afternoon and midnight shifts

Paid Onboarding:

6-week mandatory training program (Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00pm-10:30pm)

Shift Assignment:

Afternoon or Midnight shifts (facility operates 24/7/365)

Schedule Rotation:

Includes working every other weekend and every other holiday

Work Location:

100% on-site at Contact Central in Troy, MI

Overtime:

Occasional short-notice overtime required during major emergency events Key Responsibilities Answer incoming emergency calls and electronic work orders accurately and professionally

Gather precise, sensitive details with compassion and input data quickly into web-based applications

Dispatch local response teams under time constraints following client-specific protocols

Maintain customer databases and adapt quickly to changing processes or industry requirements

Assist in training new employees as needed What You Bring Strong verbal and written communications with demonstrated empathy in customer service

Fast and accurate typing skills with basic computer proficiency

Proven ability to multitask and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced setting

Reliable transportation Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating computer and phone equipment

Manual dexterity required for keying data and repetitive computer tasks

Ability to occasionally lift 5-40 lbs. unassisted (0-15% of the time) and bend, crouch or stand, as needed Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
