Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling Manage cash register operations, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end Assist customers with product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is well-presented and fully stocked Maintain knowledge of store products to answer customer inquiries confidently and accurately Apply phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or in person Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring proper signage is in place Handle retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and returns with precision Participate in supervising team members when needed, providing guidance on store procedures Skills Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions Strong cashiering skills including cash register operations and cash drawer handling Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising techniques Experience with stocking shelves and inventory management in a grocery or retail environment preferred Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership abilities in a retail setting a plus Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively Familiarity with upselling techniques to increase sales opportunities Exceptional phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail career while delivering top-tier customer service.
