Job Description
We're Hiring the Right Person, Not Just Filling a Spot The UPS Store #2899 in Belgrade is an independently owned store — not UPS corporate. We're hiring a full-time Customer Service Associate, and we're picky about who we bring on. Our training takes 3-6 months before a new hire feels fully comfortable in the role, so we're looking for someone who plans to be here a while and who's the right fit for our team. If that sounds like the kind of place you'd want to work, keep reading. You Might Be a Great Fit If… You're curious. You like to understand how things work, not just do your part of the task. You can laugh at yourself. When you mess up, you're the first to crack the joke about it. You're reliable. If you say you'll be there at 10:30, you're there at 10:25. You work well side-by-side with other people — this is a small store and a tight team. You're not scared of technology. You don't have to be an expert — just willing to learn new systems when the job asks you to. When something goes wrong, you come to your boss with ideas, not just problems. You're looking for steady work at an independently owned business — not a stepping stone to something else in a few months. This Probably Isn't the Right Job for You If… You do your best work alone. You'll be shoulder-to-shoulder with teammates every shift. You're only looking for something to get you through the next few months. You get frustrated or shut down around new computer systems and software. We use a lot of them. You prefer routine over variety. This job is shipping, printing, notary, mailbox services, and helping customers solve weird problems — often in the same hour. What You'll Actually Do Greet customers and help them figure out what they need — shipping, packaging, printing, notary, mailbox services, and more. Run the counter and the point-of-sale system. Pack and prepare shipments accurately. Print and finish documents to spec. Handle customer questions and problems — some straightforward, some not. Keep the store organized and running smoothly alongside your teammates. Learn our systems and processes (we'll train you — this takes real time). What We Need From You Reliable transportation to Belgrade, MT for every scheduled shift. Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and be on your feet for most of your shift. Availability for the full posted schedule. At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred — but we care more about who you are than where you've worked. Some of our best hires came from outside retail. Willingness to learn new technology. What You'll Get Paid time off after one year of employment. Paid holidays when you're normally scheduled to work that day. Employee discount on all store services. Real training. 3-6 months before we expect you to be fully comfortable. A coaching culture. We'd rather teach you how to think about the work than hand you a rulebook. Stable daytime hours. No closing shifts past 6:45 PM. An independently owned business where the owner knows your name.
