Job Description

Pay:
$120-$150 per day (flat rate, 8-hour day)
Job Description:
On-Call Office Coverage - Real Estate Office We're looking for a few reliable people who can step in and keep our office running when our regular staff is out. Sometimes that's a single day, sometimes it's a few days, and sometimes it's a full week covering someone's vacation, it varies, and we'll always tell you upfront what we're asking for before you commit. Think of it like being a substitute: we reach out when we have a need, you say yes if it works for you, and no if it doesn't. No hard feelings either way. This is ideal for someone who wants occasional, flexible work, not a full-time schedule, but who takes it seriously when they say yes to a shift. What You'll Do Keep the office open and running during regular business hours Provide servicing support to clients and agents, answering routine questions, handling paperwork handoffs, and coordinating simple requests Greet clients, guests, and agents as they come in Answer phones and handle inquiries Administrative tasks Represent our team professionally, even for a single day Occasionally support specific projects as needed, with defined hours and expectations agreed to upfront before you commit Who You Are Comfortable being the face of the office, warm, professional, and polished in front of clients and guests, this is a client-facing role and your presentation reflects our brand Reliable, when you say yes to a shift, we know you'll be there Comfortable with basic office tools and phones; happy to learn our systems with a short walkthrough Trustworthy and discreet, you'll see client and business information and need to handle it appropriately Comfortable working alone for stretches of the day in a lower-traffic office, some shifts (particularly at our Canton location) mean being the only person there Honest about your real availability, we'd rather you say no than commit to something you can't follow through on Genuinely fine with an irregular schedule, this is not a role for someone who wants predictable, steady hours How It Works We'll notify our on-call team when we have an open day (or days) needing coverage, or a specific project needing support First person to confirm gets the shift or project You're only ever expected to work the days or hours you accept, nothing is assumed or automatic For project work, the scope and hours will be agreed on before you commit, so you know exactly what you're saying yes to Coverage may be needed at our Maggie Valley or Canton office Pay & Classification $120-$150 per day, based on experience, paid as a W-2 employee (not contract work) Requirements Must be reliably available on short notice Must be able to work in person at either our Maggie Valley or Canton office Prior office, reception, or customer-facing experience required Please answer all the screening questions. These questions genuinely help us get to know you, so we can find the right fit for both sides. We ask that you answer each one fully; complete answers are what help us move candidates forward to an interview.

In person (Maggie Valley or Canton, as needed)
Pay:
$120.00 - $150.00 per day Application Question(s): Walk us through what an average week looks like for you right now, work, family, or anything else that takes up your time. Let's roleplay this: You're two days into covering a full week for someone's vacation. That morning, something in your personal life genuinely shifts, plans change, something comes up, whatever it may be. Write exactly what you'd text or say to us in that moment. A client walks in visibly frustrated because their agent hasn't called them back. What do you do in the first minute, before you even know the full story? You overhear something private about a client while working alone in the office. What do you do with that? Picture a full day alone in a quiet office, with almost no one walking in. Walk me through how you'd spend that day and stay ready for whoever eventually does walk through the door. If you've worked in an office, reception, or client-facing service role before, what part of the day did you enjoy most, and what part did you wish would go by faster?
