Job Description

Insurance Customer Service Representative We are seeking a customer-oriented individual to fill the role of an Insurance Customer Service Representative. Insurance Customer Service Representatives act as a liaison between our agencies' policyholders and the insurance companies. They provide customer support, answer policy-related questions, handle complaints, and offer new insurance products to customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for handling inquiries from clients, providing information about our insurance products and services, resolving complaints, and maintaining customer satisfaction. Our ideal candidate has a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of the insurance industry. However, training will be provided if no prior insurance experience. The role of the Insurance Customer Service Representative is to ensure that our customers' needs are met, their issues are resolved promptly, and that they have a positive experience with our company. Responsibilities Answer customer inquiries, providing information about insurance products and services. Processing policy changes, updates, and cancellations as per the client's request Resolving product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and following up to ensure resolution Maintaining records of customer interactions, processing customer accounts, and filing documents Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and industry trends. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns. Managing incoming calls from clients related to their insurance policies Explaining the different types of insurance policies and coverage to customers Identifying and assessing customers' needs to achieve satisfaction Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Working closely with the underwriting, claims, and sales departments to ensure all client needs are met. Qualifications Work experience as an Insurance Customer Service Representative or similar role Knowledge of insurance policies and regulations Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software High school diploma; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field is a plus Property and Casualty insurance license is a plus but not required.
