Job Description

Client Service Associate VL Wealth Management Full-time | In-office | Salem, NH About VL Wealth Management VL Wealth Management, LLC is an independent, growing wealth management practice serving families across the United States. We pair goals-based financial planning with a genuinely small-team model — clients know our names, and so do our staff. As we grow, we're building a defined career path for the people who help us deliver that experience, rather than treating client service as a dead-end administrative function. Position Summary This role provides direct client service support to our advisory team, serving as one of the most frequent points of contact our clients have with the firm. You'll own service cases from intake through resolution, execute account and money-movement transactions, and help make sure nothing a client needs ever falls through the cracks. This is not a data-entry or paper-pushing role — service volume naturally ebbs and flows, and we need someone fluent in industry language who can flex into client communication, operations projects, and planning support between service cycles. We're looking for someone who has completed (or is actively pursuing) the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and wants to keep building toward further registrations and credentials as part of a real, defined growth track. Responsibilities Client Support Serve as a primary, trusted point of contact for clients' day-to-day service needs, leading with a client-first mindset. Execute money movement transactions — transfers, systematic withdrawals, distributions — at the direction of the client and/or advisor. Open, fund, and maintain new and existing accounts, including collecting required documentation and preparing applications at the direction of the client and/or advisor. Answer general, non-advice account questions, including balances, positions, beneficiary and ownership details, and resolve service issues start to finish. Educate and enroll clients in digital tools, including e-signature, client portal, and secure document exchange. Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and flag referral or growth opportunities to the advisor team. Support the team's marketing and retention efforts as needed. Administrative & Operations Support Answer inbound calls and place outbound calls with status updates on open service requests. Manage advisor calendars and coordinate meeting logistics and materials. Maintain client records in Redtail CRM and Hubly workflows as the single source of truth. Assist with document filing (Docupace) and periodic account/compliance reviews as directed by the Director of Operations. Provide coverage for teammates during absences or seasonal volume increases, such as year-end and tax-season touchpoints. Participate in firm training, licensing coursework, and process-improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and an intense focus on getting things right. Genuine client-centric mindset — always acts in the best interest of the client. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology platforms and processes. High attention to detail and follow-through — comfortable being the last check before a form is submitted or money moves. Desired Qualifications Has completed (or is actively pursuing) the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, with openness to pursuing Series 65/66 or equivalent registrations over time — the firm will support and fund the path. 1+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or a client-facing role. Working knowledge of common account and investment products, including brokerage, IRA, Roth, trust accounts, and managed portfolios. Experience quickly resolving client needs and delivering a high-touch, personal client experience. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced small-firm environment where responsibilities shift with need. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Exhibits sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive client and financial information. Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with a CRM platform such as Redtail or similar is a plus. Skills Account & Money Movement Management Client Relationship Management Issue Resolution & Follow-Through Oral & Written Communication Emotional Intelligence Prioritization & Time Management Administrative & Calendar Support Referral & Retention Awareness Compliance & Risk Awareness CRM & Workflow Platform Proficiency Reporting & Team Reports to the Director of Operations & Advisors . Works closely with the Admin & Marketing Associates . Growth Path This role is the entry point of a defined career track at the firm — from Client Service Associate toward Paraplanner and, for the right person over time, Associate Advisor. We're committed to funding licensing and continuing education for team members who want to grow with us, and we expect this role to take on more complex client and service work as that growth happens.
