Position Overview The Customer Service Representative / Receptionist contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Key Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations. Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments. Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being. Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products. Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts. Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records. Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions. Qualifications (Required) Minimum of 2 years customer service experience in fast paced environment. Must be able to perform basic accounting tasks, manage multiple phone lines and be proficient in Microsoft Word. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Some veterinary experience preferred. Cornerstone experience a plus. Excellent communication skills, able to deal with high stress situations calmly. Schedule Must be able to commit to 35-40 hours weekly, work 2 closing shifts per week (until 12:00am) and work one shift every other weekend. This schedule rotates between 4 days one week and 5 days the next week. The weekend shift can be Saturday or Sunday. Schedules would be posted a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.
