Customer Service Associate The Buzz

Cafe Role:
- Greet all customers warmly as they enter the venue, setting a welcoming tone.
- Maintain our coffee station by refilling milks, syrups, and other essentials; ensure all cafe items (drinks, foods, cups, milks, napkins, etc.) are fully stocked and ready for service.
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventory of cafe supplies to prevent shortages.
- Process cafe purchases accurately via POS system, including ringing up transactions and handling cash/change.
- Keep the cafe space spotless and organized, including wiping counters, tables, and floors throughout shifts.
Check-in/Cashier Role:
- Greet all customers enthusiastically upon arrival to create an inviting first impression.
- Check in clients for admission to play spaces, verifying signed waivers and explaining policies as needed.
- Ring up additional purchases such as crafts, grippy socks, with speed and accuracy.
- Assign appropriate colored wristbands to guests based on age/activity groups for safety and access control.
- Reconcile end-of-shift cash drawers and report any discrepancies to management.
- General Duties (All Roles):
- Monitor play areas, and event spaces for safety, intervening politely to enforce rules (e.g., no running, age-appropriate play) and alerting supervisors to hazards.
- Assist guests with questions, directions, or minor issues, such as equipment troubleshooting or lost items, while escalating complex concerns to the Assistant General Manager.
- Support event setup and breakdown for birthday parties or group activities, including arranging tables, decorations, and supplies.
- Contribute to overall facility cleanliness by tidying common areas, emptying trash, and restocking general supplies like hand sanitizer or wristband dispensers.
- Collaborate with team members to promote a fun, inclusive atmosphere—e.g., high-fiving kids, chatting with parents, or suggesting activities.
- Abide by company safety protocols, including basic First Aid response if trained, and complete shift checklists for opening/closing tasks as assigned. Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- 0-1 year of customer-facing experience (e.g., retail, food service, or hospitality) preferred but not required—enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, upbeat personality with the ability to smile frequently and generate enthusiasm while interacting with families and children.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English; able to articulate clear greetings, provide assistance, and bid farewells to guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., stocking supplies) and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with children/families; basic computer/POS familiarity is a plus.
- Dressed in accordance with dress guidelines (neat, clean, professional—e.g., branded shirt and black pants), looking approachable and polished at all times.
- Team player with a positive attitude; skilled at staying calm under pressure and escalating issues to management as needed. Job Details
