Job Description

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for our Retail Customer Service & Support team. In this onsite role, you will engage directly with customers, provide product and color guidance, process sales transactions, resolve issues, and ensure an exceptional in-store experience. You will support daily retail operations, maintain merchandise displays, manage inventory inquiries, and coordinate with store and sales teams. This position offers hands-on product training, opportunities to grow your technical knowledge of paints and coatings, and a collaborative, inclusive culture focused on innovation and advancement. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers, providing knowledgeable product and color recommendations Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash/card payments Resolve customer questions, returns, and concerns in a professional manner Support daily retail operations, including opening/closing procedures as assigned Maintain clean, organized merchandise displays and store appearance Respond to inventory inquiries and assist with stocking and labeling products Collaborate with store and sales teams to meet customer and sales goals Learn and apply product knowledge of paints, coatings, and related supplies Follow safety guidelines for handling and storing paint and related materials Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills Required Skills Customer service Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) operation Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge - paints and coatings Inventory and stock management basics Color matching and basic color theory Conflict resolution Verbal and written communication Basic computer literacy
