Job Description
Brakes & Briskets is looking for a Cashier who brings great energy, loves connecting with people, and wants to be part of a team that's building something special in Whitehouse Station, NJ. If you enjoy good BBQ, cool cars, and a workplace that actually feels fun, you'll fit right in. Part‑time and full‑time positions available. What You'll Do Greet guests when at cashier Take orders, and stay sharp on menu items, sauces, merch drops, and promos Experience handling cash, credit, and gift card transactions accurately Answer questions and make recommendations that elevate the guest experience Keep an eye on order times and make sure everything flows smoothly Balance the register at the end of your shift Keep the Front of House clean, stocked, and ready for customers Handle customer concerns with patience and positivity, looping in management when needed Leave every customer with a memorable, positive impression What Makes You a Great Fit Comfortable using POS systems Strong cash‑handling skills Professional, reliable, and calm under pressure Excellent people skills and enjoy talking to guests Able to multitask and stay organized Works well independently and with a team Flexible availability (weekends and holidays are a plus) Able to lift 20-50 lbs and stand for extended periods Previous cashier or restaurant experience is helpful but not required Why Work With Us Flexible scheduling Employee discounts Fun, upbeat environment Opportunities to grow as our brand and event offerings expand Additional perks as the team continues to grow
