A Product Designer is responsible for the design of a new product, or redesign of an existing product. Responsible for the aesthetics of the product but also designing how it will work, defining the problem and solving it. May be responsible for producing low-fidelity mock ups, prototypes for validation through user testing and crafting the final product accordingly.

full-time This role is a part time role, 2 days a week in our New Jersey office. Create and maintain product line sheets Gather product costs and create margin sheets (to be updated each launch) Daily email correspondence with factories in Asia Work in PLM system to enter product specification details by style Maintain tracking log of all products in development worksheets as well as collection matrix Track and maintain product prototype and final color sample shipments Pulling/organizing product for both internal and external meetings Update sample room, showroom, and product towers each release Trend research on WGSN Create trend boards/presentations each season Data entry for approval forms Collect technical drawings from factories and review with internal team

EDUCATION, REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Bachelors' Degree in fashion merchandising, fashion design or a related field (preferred) Bachelor's degree in Business (with some fashion industry experience) Organized and detail oriented Able to interface with all levels of management Able to thrive at fast-paced environment Ability to work well in team environment and multi-task Self-initiative -ability to work with minimal supervision on special projects Must be proficient in Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Word PLM and SAP experience a plus
