Duties Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, highlighting benefits and costs to foster trust. Write detailed service estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring transparency and accuracy. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates to customers proactively. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission diagnostics to enhance vehicle performance. Handle cash transactions securely and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle, ensuring all work is documented properly for future reference. Requirements Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Experience with auto estimating tools, service writing software, and understanding of automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignments, suspension work, diesel engine repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Mechanical experience or mechanic background is a plus for understanding technician needs and troubleshooting issues effectively. Cash handling experience along with a detail-oriented approach to recordkeeping. Sales aptitude with a proactive attitude toward promoting automotive services and vehicle sales when appropriate.
