Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience, assisting customers with their needs, and promoting our products. Responsibilities Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately using POS systems. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their inquiries. Demonstrate product knowledge and assist in product demos to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services to customers. Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in basic math calculations. Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and positive environment within the grocery store. Experience Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus. Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Experience in sales or upselling techniques is beneficial but not required. A background in grocery store operations or retail is advantageous.
