Job Description
Job Overview:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for managing relationships with new and existing customers, acting as the primary contact for customer questions and support. The CSR will be responsible for providing administrative and operational assistance to the sales team, managing customer inquiries and communications, and coordinating with the warehouse. The CSR's attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of our employee-owned company.Principal Responsibilities:
- Act as the account and customer service representative as assigned by the VP of Operations.
- Assist the Commercial team in managing customer inquiries, orders, and quotations for specific identified customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing.
- Handle incoming calls and emails from customers, address their queries, provide product information, and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain relationships, gather feedback, and follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with Commercial and VP of Operations to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner and communicate outcomes to sales team and/or customer when necessary.
- Maintain and comply with the company quality manual procedures.
- Maintain quality program.
- Ability to perform other duties and/or projects assigned, including serving as back-up to Warehouse Manager, as needed, including the following responsibilities.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment per paperwork ensuring accuracy
- Load and unload freight
- Process UPS, FEDEX and LTL shipment routing and paperwork
- Receive inbound shipments ensuring accuracy
- Label and store incoming materials
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); bachelor's degree in marketing or business a plus.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of customer service experience or training.
- Proven experience in a customer support or administrative role, preferably in the packaging supplies, equipment and services industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
- Proficient in using business system software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
