Full Job Description Company Overview:
East Coast Fabrics is a leading wholesale upholstery and drapery fabric company, supplying high-quality products to businesses, interior designers, and customers across the industry. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and efficient order fulfillment. We are seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Team Member with a great personality and a natural ability to connect with all types of clients to join our team.Position Summary:
We're looking for an outgoing, people-first individual who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join our customer service team. Above all, we want someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with people — building rapport with a wide range of clients, staying upbeat under pressure, and making every customer interaction a positive one. This role requires working directly with customers both over the phone, via email, chat, and in our warehouse, managing orders through our software system, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.Key Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers via phone, email, chat, and in person in both English and Spanish. Assist customers in our warehouse with product inquiries and order pickups. Check stock levels using internal software systems and accurately relay information to customers. This may also involve physically verifying stock in the warehouse and communicating with warehouse workers via Slack. Process customer orders in our order management software. Resource and communicate product knowledge for all fabric collections and upholstery supplies. Contact customers to collect payments and ensure timely processing of orders. Reach out to suppliers to check stock availability and delivery timelines for products. Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth order fulfillment. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.Qualifications:
Warm and outgoing, with a proven ability to build rapport quickly across a wide range of clients — this is a top priority for us in this role. Understand high-end customer service experience, whether from a retail or wholesale/product-based business. Exemplify a professional brand image for the company. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn and work with multiple software systems (Gmail, CRM, Point of Sale, Inventory Management System, and Channel-Based Communication Platform). Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Willingness to learn about upholstery and drapery fabrics and industry practices, and apply that knowledge to daily client interactions. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills:
Experience with inventory or order management software. Familiarity with retail or wholesale operations is a plus; experience in the fabric, textile, or home décor industry is welcome but not expected. Problem-solving skills and adaptability.Work Environment:
Combination of office and warehouse setting. Interacting directly with customers and team members. Using computers and phone systems for order management and customer support. Why Join Us? Be part of a collaborative and supportive team in a growing company. Opportunities for training and professional development. Competitive compensation based on experience. If you're a personable, reliable go-getter who thrives on connecting with people, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our team!Pay:
