Job Summary Energo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Customer Account Specialist. The successful candidate will report to Manager Customer Service & Inside Sales. This position has been structured to enable employee growth by providing exposure across multiple operations functions, including credit, customer service, collections, sales support and billing. Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organizational skills, and ability to organize and analyze data are necessary to succeed in this role. Multi-tasking is a must! Responsibilities Field incoming calls from current customers and prospects Record the call and distribute to the Managing Agent, while assisting in resolving the ticket Perform customer service responsibilities to maintain a superior level of customer satisfaction Make outbound calls to targeted groups to acquire new customers and retain existing ones Achieving company goals for sales and retention Review accounts receivable aging reports and contacting customers (via phone, email, and letter) for payment Work closely with Energo sales agents for assistance with customer collections Contact customers with Early Termination Fees regarding re-enrollment or for payment Reporting on collections activities to the Manager, Credit and Collections Act as a liaison between Sales and other departments Assist the Sales team in quoting and contracting with current and prospective customers Work in the Sales Support inbox and ensure responses are provided in a timely fashion Work with various departments to implement process improvements Assist in running and distributing various sales reporting Perform a variety of analytical and billing functions, including the review and management of daily reports to ensure customer billing accuracy and compliance with internal controls Assist with continuous process improvement projects related to billing controls, quality & efficiency Research and resolve billing issues utilizing analytical and reporting tools Ensure accurate and timely processing of all customer invoices Ad hoc projects and assignments, analysis, customer audits and data clean-up Required Qualifications 1-3 years' experience with a retail energy company Bachelor's degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel Strong organization skills with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks effectively Eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Not afraid to ask questions and have strong communication and interpersonal skills This is an in-person position and requires office attendance in our Woodside, NY office, five days per week Willingness to work after hours and weekends, as necessary
