CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

JOB SUMMARY
Lake Erie Council Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are responsible for customer relations with both staff and volunteers of Lake Erie Council. They are also an integral part of processing, evaluating, and analyzing all membership in Scouting America, ensuring that all youth, adult, and volunteers are recorded accurately and promptly. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and be customer service oriented, have strong communication skills, and enjoy talking to people daily.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Create a positive impression while assisting online, telephone, and walk-in customers
  • Answer questions and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain superior customer service relationships with volunteers and staff
  • Manage main phone line and transfer calls
  • Adhere to registration standards for Scouting America applications
  • Serve as help desk resource for staff, Scouts, and volunteers to resolve issues
  • Process youth, adult, and new unit applications into Scouting America's system
  • Assist with clerical duties and support functions that include but aren't limited to material preparation
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of CRM software and skilled in the use of various computer software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems
  • A passion for exceptional customer service
  • Dedication to the mission, aims and methods of Scouting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephone skills
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information
  • Present a professional attitude and image within the office
  • Be prompt and on time regularly
