Job Description
Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist Elgin Furniture - Euclid, Ohio Full-Time | $20-$22/hour + Opportunity for Additional Commission About the Position Elgin Furniture is looking for an experienced, dependable Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This is primarily a customer service and administrative position. Responsibilities include entering and processing customer sales, assisting customers with service issues after delivery, accepting payments, processing credit applications and providing support to our sales and service teams. While sales is not a primary responsibility, this position will also provide occasional showroom sales coverage when needed. We're looking for someone who is organized and detail-oriented, but also personable and confident enough to step onto the sales floor and work with customers when needed. Responsibilities Enter and process customer sales accurately in our computer system Assist customers with service issues after delivery and follow through until resolved Accept customer payments and process credit applications Answer incoming calls and assist customers with questions Provide occasional showroom sales coverage when needed Work closely with our sales, delivery and service teams Maintain accurate customer records and documentation Perform general office and administrative duties as needed What We're Looking For 2+ years of customer service, administrative, office, retail or sales support experience preferred Professional, dependable and organized Strong customer service and communication skills Personable and comfortable working directly with customers Strong computer and data-entry skills Good attention to detail and ability to handle multiple responsibilities Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain professional with frustrated customers Previous retail or customer-facing sales experience is a plus Furniture experience is not required. We will train the right person on our products, systems and processes.
