A Plus Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of insurance industry experience , a strong understanding of personal and/or commercial insurance, and a proven ability to provide exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for an insurance professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships, solving problems, handling policy service needs, and serving as a trusted resource for customers. Experience working with Erie Insurance is highly preferred and considered a significant plus. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding insurance policies, coverage, billing, and general service needs. Provide prompt, professional, and knowledgeable customer service by phone, email, and in person. Handle policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, certificates, and other servicing requests. Review policies and coverage with clients and explain insurance products and options in an easy-to-understand manner. Assist clients with questions regarding premiums, billing, payments, claims, and policy documentation. Identify opportunities to recommend appropriate coverage changes or additional insurance products based on client needs. Maintain accurate and detailed customer records and documentation. Communicate effectively with insurance carriers, underwriters, claims representatives, and other agency personnel. Follow up on outstanding client requests and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Assist with new business, renewals, remarketing, and retention efforts as needed. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude. Stay current on carrier guidelines, insurance products, regulations, and industry best practices. Perform other duties related to customer service and agency operations as assigned. Qualifications Active insurance license required ; appropriate Property & Casualty license(s) preferred. Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience. Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, terminology, and agency procedures. Erie Insurance experience is a plus. Experience working in an independent insurance agency or carrier environment preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and insurance agency management systems. Professional, dependable, and committed to providing an outstanding client experience. Preferred Experience The ideal candidate may have experience with: Erie Insurance products and procedures Personal lines and/or commercial lines insurance Policy servicing and endorsements Renewals and retention Claims coordination Certificates of insurance Carrier portals and agency management systems Cross-selling and account rounding New business processing What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, personable, and proactive .
