Location:
Riveon Mental Health and Recovery (Includes off-site locations; travel between sites as needed) Position Summary The Client Access Specialist serves as the primary administrative point of contact across agency locations. This role provides client-centered support, including greeting visitors, managing multi-line phone systems, updating Electronic Medical Records (EMR), scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance eligibility.
Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Client Relations:
Greet and check in clients, manage waiting areas, handle release of information (ROI) requests, and direct visitors.
Scheduling & Communication:
Schedule clinical appointments, send appointment reminders, answer and route calls, and arrange interpreter services or transportation as needed.
EMR & Records Management:
Maintain accurate client demographics, payer details, clinician assignments, and office files within the EMR system.
Financial & Eligibility Verification:
Determine program eligibility and sliding fee scale status, verify third-party insurance coverage, obtain precertifications, and collect copays/payments.
Administrative Operations:
Provide clerical support (scanning, faxing, filing), initiate supply purchase orders, and cover alternate locations or peer training as directed.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of health care receptionist/switchboard experience OR 3 years of general clerical/receptionist experience.
Technical Skills:
Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM; proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel. EMR experience is a plus.
Capabilities:
Strong customer service, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Languages:
English proficiency required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus (stipend offered).
