Job title:
AutoCAD Assistant Location:
Lorain, OH Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Assistant to support our engineering and design team. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic AutoCAD experience who is comfortable reading blueprints and technical drawings and wants to develop their drafting and design skills in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with creating and updating 2D AutoCAD drawings. Make revisions and adjustments to existing drawings as directed by the engineering or design team. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Assist with organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation. Enter dimensions, measurements, and other information accurately into drawings. Help prepare drawings and documentation for manufacturing and production. Work with engineers and other team members to make drawing updates and corrections. Review drawings for basic accuracy, dimensions, and completeness. Assist with creating layouts, sketches, and basic design documentation. Perform other drafting and administrative duties as needed to support the engineering department. Qualifications Basic to intermediate experience with AutoCAD. Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic understanding of dimensions, measurements, and tolerances. Good computer skills and willingness to learn new software. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Manufacturing, mechanical, engineering, or drafting experience is a plus. Technical school, CAD coursework, or an associate degree is preferred but not required. High School diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a preemployment screening
Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM and Friday 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay:
starting at $20/hour (Based on Experience)
