Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Respond to inbound calls, emails, and texts from for policyholders, prospective clients, referral partners and carrier partners. Assist with inquiries related to policy coverage, billing, claims status, and account updates. Explain policy details, terms, and benefits in a clear and customer-friendly manner. Document all customer interactions accurately in the agencies CRM. Triage policy changes, cancellations, and endorsements as requested. Support claims intake and provide follow-up on existing claims. Escalate issues to agent on file or the CSR on file in our CRM. Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy, especially when handling sensitive situations (e.g., loss claims ). Stay current on product knowledge, underwriting guidelines, and company procedures. Meet or exceed performance metrics including customer satisfaction, call quality, and resolution time. Keep CRM system organized for each client file and update contact information when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus). 1+ years of customer service experience (insurance or financial services preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Basic knowledge of insurance products and terminology (property & casualty, health, or life). Proficiency in using CRM tools. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. High attention to detail and a customer-first attitude. Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) a plus.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Prior experience working in a customer facing role. Familiarity with policy management or claims systems (Hawksoft). Insurance license (e.g., Property & Casualty or Life & Health) preferred or willingness to obtain.
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week
