Company Overview Wright Bros. Aero is an aviation and logistics company located in Vandalia, Ohio. We are a privately held corporation with over 40 years of service experience for the Vandalia and greater Dayton community. Our company provides aircraft refueling, deicing services, air cargo processing, and passenger assistance within the airport terminal, as well as many other activities for commercial airlines, corporate aircraft operators, and private owners. Summary We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Airline Customer Service Agent to join our team at Wright Bros. Aero in Vandalia, Ohio. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient airport operations by performing both passenger service (ticket counter and gate) and ramp service duties. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, safety-minded, and thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment. Responsibilities Customer Service / Ticket Counter & Gate Assist passengers with check-in, boarding, and baggage handling procedures. Provide accurate and timely information regarding flight schedules, delays, and airport services. Process ticketing transactions, itinerary changes, and special service requests. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company policies. Coordinate with ramp and flight operations teams to ensure on-time departures. Ramp & Ground Operations Safely marshal aircraft into and out of parking positions. Load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail according to weight and balance requirements. Operate ground service equipment (tugs, belt loaders, deicing trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently. Assist with deicing and refueling operations as needed. Conduct visual aircraft inspections and report any irregularities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant ramp area. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service roles, preferably within aviation or logistics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and ramp safety procedures preferred. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Flexible availability is necessary. You must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays; additional time may be required based on operational need. Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and operational data. Multilingual abilities are highly desirable. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain airport security clearance required.
