Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Provide fresh hot foods for our deli by keeping records of heat times and being prompt in making more food when needed. Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized store layouts to promote sales Assist customers with refilling of their Propane tanks. We provide on-the-job training for this. upkeep of cleanliness within the store and parking areas, as well as vigilant with the occasional cleaning of customer spills and dirt. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; we value enthusiasm and a proactive can-do attitude. Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions is highly desirable Bilingual skills are preferred but not required for serving diverse customer bases effectively Strong communication skills are essential for delivering excellent customer service and engaging product demonstrations Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising principles will help you succeed in this role Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and managing the cash drawer Previous experience with food production and handling are a plus but not required. We provide on-the-job training for this. Patience and some understanding for customers who struggle are required for this position.
