Customer Service Representative
Job Description
Join the PACE Team PACE Inc. , a leading distributor of premium outdoor power equipment, is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Milwaukie, Oregon. In this role, you will serve as an important point of contact for our customers by answering product questions, processing orders and returns, resolving concerns, and coordinating with internal departments. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable learning technical product information, and committed to providing excellent customer experience. What You Will Do Customer Service and Order Support Respond promptly and accurately to customer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, back orders, order status, and current promotions. Enter and process customer orders, changes, returns, invoices, and credits according to established company procedures. Review orders for accuracy, including pricing, discounts, terms, freight requirements, and promotional offers. Assist customers with parts lookups, product applications, and general technical questions. Help locate products or parts through other dealers, distributors, manufacturers, or drop-ship options when items are unavailable through standard channels. Follow up with customers to make sure questions and concerns are resolved completely. Problem Resolution Investigate pricing discrepancies, incorrect shipments, billing concerns, and other order-related issues. Complete required documentation, identify the cause of the issue, and coordinate an appropriate solution. Work with the Credit Department to resolve disputed credit items and ensure dealer transfers are billed and credited properly. Provide timely feedback to management regarding customer concerns, service failures, and recurring issues. Sales and Customer Relationship Support Inform customers about current specials, promotions, volume discounts, dating terms, and freight opportunities when they provide value to the customer. Contact customers regarding specific product promotions or sales initiatives. Partner with Territory Managers to provide information about inventory availability, pricing, credit concerns, promotions, product applications, and customer follow-up needs. Work with Sales Managers and Territory Managers to maintain accurate inventory records for the demonstration units and ensure equipment is assigned to the correct warehouse. What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with customers and team members across multiple departments.
- Willingness and ability to learn product, parts, pricing, and order-management information. Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of customer service or inside sales experience.
- Previous experience in the outdoor power equipment, engine, parts, distribution, or a related industry.
- Bilingual a plus Experience assisting customers with parts lookups or technical product questions. Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Eight-hour shift
