Role Description The Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides comprehensive support to both internal and external customers. This role works closely with the Customer Service and Sales teams and serves as a key liaison to ensure accurate order processing, timely communication, and a positive customer experience. A background in manufacturing is helpful.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enter customer Requests for Quotes (RFQs) into the estimation system Process customer Purchase Orders (POs) in Toyo Tanso USA's (TTU) sales order workbench to support sales activity and ensure accurate sales reporting Navigate and work within company and customer systems, including IndustriOS, Ariba, Pact, GE Single Sign On, iSupplier, and internal quoting systems Follow up on RFQs, sales orders, customer inquiries, and internal requests to ensure timely resolution Collaborate with Sales and CSR team members to support customer needs and business objectives Perform additional duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Office software experience preferred including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Strong problem-solving ability with the flexibility to manage unique, case-by-case situations Ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions Professional communication style with the ability to maintain respectful, positive dialogue with interdepartmental customers Fluency in Japanese preferred but not required
