Grocery Store Cashier - Full-Time or Part-Time We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and customer-focused Cashier to join our grocery store team! The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, handles transactions accurately, maintains a professional attitude, and is willing to learn and assist in other departments when needed.
IMPORTANT SCHEDULING REQUIREMENT
Applicants MUST be available to work weekends. Candidates who are unable to work weekends will NOT be considered for this position. Open availability is strongly preferred, as schedules may vary based on the needs of the store. Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Accurately operate the cash register and process cash, credit/debit, and other forms of payment. Scan merchandise and ensure accurate pricing and quantities. Bag groceries carefully and efficiently. Assist customers with questions, concerns, and general store needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area. Follow all company policies and cash-handling procedures. Assist with stocking, facing shelves, cleaning, and other store duties as needed. Be willing to learn and assist in other departments, including Stock and Customer Service , when needed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and employees. Work as part of a team and assist coworkers during busy periods. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required ; we are willing to train the right candidate. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional, friendly, and positive attitude. Dependable and punctual. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new tasks and work in multiple departments. Must be able to work weekends . Must have open availability and be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
