Philip Baker Insurance Services is a family-run, independent insurance agency based in Blandon, PA, proudly protecting individuals, families, and businesses across Pennsylvania since 2002. Job Description:
Philip Baker Insurance is seeking a personable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to serve as a first point of contact for our clients. This is a phone-first role. Our office sees relatively little walk-in traffic, so the majority of the day is spent handling inbound calls, quoting, and servicing existing policies for a book of business split evenly between personal and commercial lines. The ideal candidate is comfortable juggling a variety of tasks in a small-agency environment, stays calm and empathetic under pressure, and takes pride in building genuine relationships with the people they serve. This role offers a competitive compensation package including paid time off, paid holidays, and health insurance. This is a full-time, 100% in-person position, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will: Answer inbound phone calls and correspondence regarding new and existing personal and commercial insurance policies. Quote new business and process policy changes, including auto policy changes Confer with customers to explain coverage options, take payments, and provide requested documentation. Resolve customer concerns and service issues with empathy and professionalism Maintain accurate client records and details of interactions using the agency's management system (Hawksoft). Work closely with a small, tight-knit team - pitching in where needed, taking direction well, and staying self-motivated
Requirements Requirements:
The candidate must: Hold an active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty insurance license (required). Have prior personal lines insurance experience; commercial lines experience helpful Have strong oral and written communication skills Bring a friendly, empathetic approach to every interaction, and enjoy building lasting relationships with the people you work with and serve Stay steady and solutions-focused Be proficient with computer systems, including Hawksoft (or a comparable agency management system) and Microsoft Excel/Office.
