In this vital role, you will be the cornerstone of our customer account management and administrative operations, ensuring seamless financial processes and exceptional client service. Your expertise will support accurate billing, account reconciliation, and data entry. This position also sets up any freight or delivery needs the customer made need to make the transaction seamless. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a semi-fast environment where your analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge will drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Duties Manage customer accounts by processing payments, collections, and account reconciliations using billing software, QuickBooks, Rocksolid POS and other financial systems Perform data entry tasks with precision, maintaining accurate records of transactions, journal entries, and account adjustments Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and adherence to company policies. Knowledge of CRMs and other customer relations systems. Utilize spreadsheets and Excel formulas for data analysis, reporting, and tracking financial metrics Conduct account reconciliation activities to verify accuracy across multiple accounting systems and ensure compliance with GAAP standards Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment issues, or account discrepancies via phone or email while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Support internal audits by preparing documentation related to SOX compliance and assisting with internal control procedures in line with regulatory requirements Willingness to learn the freight and broker systems to unsure our customers receive their freight or delivery when desired and the process is seamless. Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and technical accounting concepts Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other accounting systems; experience with billing software is highly desirable Demonstrated ability in Excel data analysis, creating formulas, spreadsheets, and reports for financial review and decision-making Experience managing collections accounts and performing client communication professionally to resolve payment issues efficiently Familiarity with governmental or corporate accounting practices; understanding of public accounting environments is a plus Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for data entry accuracy and account reconciliation tasks Ability to analyze financial data critically while maintaining high standards of customer service through effective communication skills Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements for internal controls and audit readiness; experience working within accounting software systems that support regulatory adherence Join us in a role where your expertise in accounting systems combined with your passion for customer service will make a meaningful impact.
