Job Description

Bookkeeping Manger (Client Accounting Services) at BookkeepingOps Bookkeeping Manger (Client Accounting Services) at BookkeepingOps in Deerfield Beach, Florida Posted in 1 day ago.

Type:

full-time The Company BookkeepingOps (bookkeepingops.com) is a team of 18 professionals providing bookkeeping and outsourced accounting services to small and mid-sized businesses. For some clients, we handle their bookkeeping; for others, we help run some or all of their accounting department. Several team members also support our sister company, Office Edge Boca Raton (officeedge.com/boca-raton/), which has provided flexible office space, meeting rooms, virtual offices, receptionist services, and administrative support to the local business community for more than 20 years. The Role We are looking for a full-time Bookkeeping Manager to manage a group of client accounts and lead a small team of bookkeepers. This hands-on role combines project & task management, team leadership, client relationship management, and accounting/bookkeeping . Our Managers are responsible for keeping client work accurate and on time, supporting and developing their team members, and advising clients. Teams are generally small (typically 1-3 bookkeepers), and Managers remain involved in the accounting work, particularly with complex issues, new-client onboarding, cleanup projects, and workflow design & refinement. Benefits of Working with Us Work-life balance: Predictable workweeks (40-45 hours) and no tax-season crunches - we partner with our clients' CPAs rather than preparing tax returns. Professional development & growth: We put a lot of time & effort into helping our staff develop, with hands-on mentoring in accounting, client, project & team management, and advisory skills - allowing them to take on greater responsibility if desired, such as FP&A and controllership roles.

Meaningful work:

Work directly with business owners and become an important resource and advisor to them. Interesting & varied: Our work covers almost all aspects of accounting operations across multiple industries. There's regularly something new to figure out, troubleshoot, or improve.

Collaborative:

Work closely with our owner, other Managers, and bookkeepers to solve problems, share knowledge, and improve how we work. Who We're Looking For Strong candidates will be excellent at managing projects & deadlines, strong communicators and relationship builders, and analytical problem-solvers . They should be comfortable managing multiple clients, projects & priorities while supporting their team, building strong client relationships, and ensuring work is completed accurately and consistently. Experience in bookkeeping/accounting, QuickBooks Online, Excel, and client, project & team management is valuable, but we understand candidates may not have deep experience in all areas. We're particularly interested in people with strong Excel, systems, or process/workflow skills , even if their accounting experience is more limited. We care more about demonstrated ability, aptitude, and willingness to learn than specific degrees or credentials. Compensation, Benefits & Schedule $29-$33/hour (approximately $60,000-$80,000 annually at 40-45 hours/week with 1.5x overtime), depending on experience and skill set Paid time off and health insurance

Hours:

Primarily Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with additional time as mutually agreed

Location:

On-site in Boca Raton, with the opportunity for some remote work over time
