About Us Copperwood Financial is a boutique wealth management and financial planning firm based in Burr Ridge, IL. Our mission is to help people live more intentional lives with their time, money, and relationships, while we handle the financial planning. We work with federal employees, professional and college athletes, and business owners and corporate executives building long-term wealth. The Role We're looking for an energetic, warm, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Client Service Associate to join our team. You'll be responsible for making sure every client interaction with Copperwood is a positive one. This is the front line of the client experience here: you're the first voice a client or prospect hears when they call, and the person making sure nothing about their account falls through the cracks. This role has room to grow. As you get comfortable with the day to day, we want you learning our tools and our marketing systems, so you can start helping build marketing campaigns and being an integral part of our growth. Previous experience in the wealth management or financial services industry is helpful, but not required. What You'll Do Serve as the first point of contact for clients and prospects: answer incoming calls, make outbound calls to confirm appointments, and follow up on open items Take and route messages so nothing sits unanswered Keep client records accurate and current in our CRM system, including work in preparing advisors for their appointments Process new client paperwork and applications, from opening documents through to file completion, and follow up with outside parties to keep things moving Build and maintain client relationships through new client onboarding and ongoing service requests Organize marketing and client appreciation events, both virtual and in-person Handle day-to-day administrative tasks: scheduling, organizing mail and deliveries, and keeping the office running smoothly Learn our CRM, planning, and AI tools well enough to eventually develop marketing campaigns, email sends, event coordination, and website updates What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred This is an entry-level opportunity with real room to grow for someone eager to learn (experience in a client-facing service, administrative, or front-desk role helps; 6+ months in financial services or accounting preferred, not required) A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks with an eye for detail Comfort managing multiple projects at once and making timely follow-ups, without losing track of any of it The ability to take clear direction and run with it, and to ask when something isn't clear rather than guess A real interest in learning new software, including AI tools, as part of your daily work Reliability. You show up, and people can count on what you tell them A Plus, Not a Requirement Office management experience Familiarity with a CRM platform and SEC compliance Comfort with Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign, and Google Workspace Exposure to marketing tools, such as GoHighLevel High-level prior experience at a financial services, registered investment advisory, or insurance firm Schedule and Pay A flexible position, 20-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, based out of our Burr Ridge, IL office Hybrid remote work available after onboarding, based on trust built on the job Pay based on experience, plus performance bonuses and a 401(k)
