Medical Assistant - Clinical Call Center Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our clinical call center team in a hybrid work environment . The Medical Assistant will work closely with nurses and other clinical staff to support patient care by reviewing medical information, gathering relevant patient data, and assisting with clinical workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced call center environment, and a commitment to providing accurate, patient-centered support. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is preferred. Key Responsibilities Review and assist with medical prior authorization (Medical PA) processes and related clinical information. Assist nurses and clinical staff by gathering, documenting, and organizing patient information. Obtain relevant patient history and clinical details through telephone-based communication. Review medical records and information to help ensure clinical staff have the necessary information to assess patient needs. Support nurses with patient follow-up, documentation, and other clinical administrative tasks. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, healthcare providers, and internal clinical teams. Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Follow established clinical workflows, protocols, and procedures. Identify and escalate clinical concerns or information requiring review by a nurse or other licensed clinical professional. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies. Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Participate in a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred. Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare call center, clinical support, or similar environment preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with nurses and other clinical team members. Comfortable working in a high-volume, telephone-based call center environment. Ability to maintain professionalism, empathy, and patience when interacting with patients. Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays . Work Environment This position operates in a hybrid work environment , combining remote work with on-site responsibilities based on department needs. The Medical Assistant will work primarily in a clinical call center setting, communicating with patients by telephone and supporting nurses and other clinical staff through electronic systems. The role requires the ability to remain focused, organized, and productive while working independently in a remote setting and collaboratively with the clinical team when on-site. Employees must have a suitable remote workspace and reliable internet connectivity when working from home. The position requires flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays , based on operational and patient-care needs.

$50,000.00 per year
