Job Description
100% REMOTE $20/hr 6‑month contract‑to‑hire Position Overview Seeking a Remote Customer Service Representative to join the Group Life & Disability Claims team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced call center environment, enjoys helping customers, and has strong attention to detail. You will support callers by providing accurate claim information, documenting claim activity, and delivering exceptional service. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with strong potential for long‑term growth—many employees begin in Customer Service and advance into other areas of the organization. Shifts Available One candidate needed for each shift: 10:30 am -7:00 pm est 11:30 am -8:00 pm est Key Responsibilities + Provide timely, accurate, and customer‑focused information regarding disability, life, and leave claims. + Solicit required information from callers and external sources to complete claim documentation. + Enter detailed, accurate summaries into the claim system while speaking with customers. + Process incoming documents with high coding accuracy and distribute appropriately. + Issue claim acknowledgment correspondence promptly. + Meet or exceed call center metrics and remain compliant with operational standards. + Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and genuine care in all customer interactions. + Anticipate customer needs and take proactive steps to assist. + Work with multiple product lines including STD, SDI, AM, LTD, Life, and AD&D. Required Skills & Qualifications + 2-3+ years of customer service experience (call center or face‑to‑face). + Experience in financial services, healthcare, or insurance strongly preferred. + Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of experience. + Strong data entry skills (7,000+ KPH). + High school diploma or college degree. + Excellent verbal communication and proficient writing skills. + Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work under pressure. + Comfortable working on a computer and phone throughout the day. + Basic to moderate Microsoft Office skills. + Bilingual candidates are a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
