A leading transportation and logistics company in the Chattanooga area is looking for a Seasonal Customer Service Representative to join its team during the busy holiday peak season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at a fast pace and wants to gain valuable experience in the transportation and logistics industry. While this assignment is initially seasonal, top performers may be considered for a long-term opportunity if a permanent opening becomes available.

This is not a traditional account-management role. You won't be responsible for owning customer accounts. Instead, you'll focus on the operational and administrative side of customer service—helping track shipments, respond to customer requests, schedule appointments, build loads, and make sure information is accurate and up to date.

What You'll DoRespond to customer inquiries and requests primarily through emailProvide shipment tracking updates, ETAs, and status informationMonitor and trace shipments to ensure loads are running on scheduleProactively communicate with customers when delays or service issues arisePull and process loads through EDI and assist with building loadsSchedule appointments and maintain accurate load informationSupport dedicated Customer Service Representatives with daily administrative and operational tasksCollaborate with Planning, Carrier Sales, Fleet Management, and other teams to ensure customer expectations are metResearch and maintain accurate shipment and service informationMaintain data accuracy and integrity within company systemsManage multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environmentWe're looking for someone who likes to stay busy. You don't need to come from a traditional logistics background to be successful. Individuals with experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, call centers, or other high-volume customer-facing environments can be a great fit. If you've worked as a server, bartender, host, restaurant manager, or in another fast-paced role where you've had to constantly prioritize, communicate, problem-solve, and deliver great customer service under pressure, you may have many of the skills needed to succeed here.
